Jay Adams is responsible for overseeing all Insurance Operations for Citizens. In this role, Jay is responsible for leading the claims, underwriting and product operations — including support functions such as vendor relations, special investigations, and systems support teams that configure the policy and claims management systems. He previously served as the Chief Claims Officer, where he focused on the Noncatastrophe and Catastrophe Claims, Non-Litigated Disputed Claims and Litigated Claims.

Jay has more than 35 years of insurance experience in underwriting, portfolio management, claims and business analysis. Prior to joining Citizens in 2009, he served at Nationwide Insurance Company for 19 years where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Claims for a multi-state operation.

Jay earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
