Citizens is sending letters to policyholders with no email address or for whom there may be an incorrect email address on file. These letters ask policyholders to update their email addresses so that Citizens can communicate important information more effectively. If, in fact, the email address that Citizens has on file is correct, the policyholder should add citizens.communications@citizensfla.com to their safe sender list to avoid having emails filtered to their junk/spam folder.

There are two ways policyholders can manage their contact information:

• They can now confirm their email and/or phone number via the Update Contact Information form on the Contact Us page of our website (figures 1 and 2 below).
  Note: For direct access to the form, use the QR code provided on the letter. 
• Policyholders can also contact their agent.

myPolicy

Encourage your policyholders to activate/register their myPolicy account for easy access to their policy documents in addition to the existing features, which include reporting claims and making payments. Personal Lines policyholders can enroll in paperless delivery to receive email notifications when new policy documents and billing invoices are available.

• Credentialed agency staff can log in to the Agents site and select Training > Personal Job Aids or Commercial Job Aids to access the myPolicy Guide.
• Select FAQs on the top menu of the Agents website and then:
  • Enter myPolicy in the Search field to access related FAQs.
  • Enter 2353 in the Search field for step-by-step directions on how to update a policyholder’s email address.
